SALT Poblacion Makati - Your hidden steak gem at the city.

Thanks to Yelp! I just found an another city gem in Makati and it's just 2KM away from home! 

Upon my cravings for steak, my boyfriend and i rushed to SALT located at Poblacion Makati to try their T-Bone specialty. 

Sadly, the price of the steak is higher that what they stated from online menu, i guess they just recently updated the price from 190 to 220. The meat quality is good tho for the price. It was also big enough that it can be shared by two people who are on a diet :P 

Steak sauce is so tasty rich while the side is really just enough to remove sated feeling.

We have also tried their Guyabano shake and surprisingly, it taste better than those shakes you can find around Greenbelt.

The restaurant is located in a subdivision-like place. It's ambiance is some kinda homey (like coffee shops) and carries minimalist style. It's spacious enough i reckon it could accommodate 12-15 group of people at the same time.

The price for two would just cost around 600 pesos. Not bad for steak meal on a dinner.

How's Pho Hoa?

Due to cold weather, my boyfriend and i decided to get a hot bowl of soup or noodles and a light sandwich to satisfy our hunger.
With all the factors we've tried Pho Hoa of Greenbelt 1 and all we could say is that it sucks :PI guess we're not really fan of Vietnamese noodle soups, the one we've ordered havean after taste of a detergent powder. Ewww :P

Customer service of this restaurant sucks a lot. Whenever we ask the waiter to refill our water or request for additional favor, the waiter gives us an angry snap, which is a big no no for the price we are paying for.
We love the Banh Mi sandwich tho. It was way perfect for a light snack. It even beaten our favorite Asian Grilled sandwich from Red Mango.
We've ordered Grilled Chicken Banh Mi even our souls says we should order Grilled Pork :P


Overall, we are rating the restaurant with 5/10.
There are more worthy restaurants in Greenbelt than here. Don't waste your money :)

Blenz Coffee Makati, My Urban Sanctuary.

The branch in Solaris along Dela Rosa St, Makati City offers a peaceful and relaxing place for book readers, bloggers and wifi addicts.

I wonder why there are only few customers while the taste of their coffee is almost close to any other known coffee shops.

I love how spacious is the place for me whenever i hang there.
There's also no need to panic about the socket for charger as there are plenty seats to choose from.
The place is exactly located at G/F One Solaris Building Dela Rosa St., Makati City. The shop is open until 2AM.
I am hoping this would not close soon as i find this a place to be whenever i want to be alone.

Yay! Todd English! #TEFHManila #TEFH

I've been checking the restaurant since 2014 and now finally got the chance to be here! :)
We ate on a Sunday at around 2PM-3PM and the ambiance was so perfect! It felt like we've reserved the whole restaurant for the two of us.
Now, take a look on what we've ordered..

Todd English  Amsterdam Burger #TEFHManila

It's Amsterdam burger at 490 pesos. I swear! This is the best burger i've ever tasted.

Everything that were inside the buns were perfectly matched.

An another favorite is T.E. Pork Chop cooked in medium well, worth 440 pesos.
I love how tender the pork is. In fact, it actually tasted more like a steak for me.
The demi-glace sauce of it makes it a winner!

And of course, we have also tried the fudgiest dessert ever! - OMG!
I have really found it special as the chocolate is rich and so damn good!

The total price for all we've ordered is around 1600 pesos.
Not bad for two average eaters! :)
And yes, except for the food, i also fell in love with the interior design of #TEFHManila, the Ferris Wheel of Macarons is my favorite. :)

The restaurant is located at SM Aura's 5th floor dining area. Probably, its one of the best fine dining restaurants i've ever been in terms of food quality and service. It's a 9/10 for TEFH!

Cheap quality steak at Mad Mark's Creamery & Good Eats Manila!

I'm truly a fan of steak, so when i have craved for it, i've searched all the way in Zomato app of the cheapest steak at the Metro. Luckily, i've found Mad Mark's creamery! Comments about restaurant were all good, so we've give it a try. Here's the photo of what i've ordered...

Mad Mark's Steak and Bootstrap Sauce

It's Mad Mark's medium well signature steak in Bootstrap sauce, side dishes of Garden Grains and Smashed Potato.
hmm!! really delish! In fact, i've comeback the following day to eat it again!

There are actually several sauce to choose from, but i have chosen Bootstrap because of the tangy taste! I was afraid to try other sauce since then. :P
My steak has been cooked the way i wanted it. However, my boyfriend's steak still have some blood in some part of it, as if it was cooked medium.
The restaurant also boast ice cream novelties!
We've tried Madagascar Half Baked and it tastes good! :)

The worth per every person is at 350 (Steak+IceCream). It's not really bad :)
Overall, I rate this restaurant 8 out of 10, in terms of food quality, price and ambiance. :)

I have purchased three of it and its was really worth it.

Compare to Pink Parlour where i usually have my Brazilian wax, MaxWax's place is very convenient.
It was located at the Basement of SM Aura in BGC.
However, they don't have comfort room or place where you can clean yourself before the procedure starts.

The procedure was tolerable. I will rate it 3 out of 10 pain level(10 being the most painful).
There was also a stress ball handed to me while the procedure is on going to lessen the pressure :)
I think it was also the fastest and best Brazilian wax experience i've ever had, it only took 8-10 mins to finish.
The original price of the service was 1200 and have bought it at Dealgrocer for only 600. What a steal! :)

If you plan to have your waxing session (whether brows, brazilian or armpit), better to call them first as there are a lot of customers especially around 5PM - 8PM.

My kind of Sunday night (Random Space)

Spent late night Sunday with my geek afro bunny at the homey Coffee Bean SM Jazz.
Too bad they're only up until 12mn, i wish they could extend their hours up to 2am or 3am.
We had my favorite Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows! ughh! so perfect after eating two Breadtalk Flosses(medyo huli yung panulak LOL!).

It was already 12 mn when we decided to flew, we walked from SM Jazz to our home in Lawaan, Kamagong.
The path we took was the one behind Jazz(Yup, the scary back of South Cemetery).


We made it home by 1AM and slept late again. :)
